A major Oil & Gas equipment subsidiary managed a large and complex mix of applications spread across global operations. As the company expanded through acquisitions, the number of applications and servers requiring security reviews continued to grow.

But the Audit team relied on Application teams to provide the data needed for those reviews. Manual processes covered only a portion of the environment, while the remaining reviews depended on long email exchanges that slowed timelines and often left access data outdated before teams could act on it.
