A major financial services firm with nearly $3B in annual earnings was facing growing pressure on its BI infrastructure.

The company needed to reduce data center costs by lowering server count, while growing demand for BI applications, driven by acquisitions, was pushing performance requirements higher. At the same time, increasing ETL loads and slower warehouse query times were impacting analytics performance and user experience.

Managing the environment had also become increasingly complex. Deploying new BI features required extensive regression testing across multiple servers, and infrastructure changes involved coordination across several IT teams.

BuzzClan assessed the existing Oracle Fusion BI environment and designed a solution built around a highly available Oracle Exalytics architecture. The team optimized OBIEE and EPM applications for TimesTen and redesigned the ETL strategy to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability.
